Soroptimist Development Retreat on August 16th and 17th, 2025.

Join the Sierra Nevada Region Leadership Team for our annual Soroptimist Development Retreat or as we like to call it SDR. Being that we are in the summer we thought it would be great to go with a Super Hero theme for our event.  We want our SNR Members to join in on the fun of SDR with what we are calling our “Super Star DREAMS” theme. This is where you can learn more about Soroptimist, our clubs and ourselves during this weekend of workshops and interactive activities…all in an atmosphere of friendship and fun!

Beginning on Saturday, August 16th at 12 noon, we will start the day with lunch and a kick-off to what is to be a Leadership Training retreat to remember. Following lunch, you will have the opportunity to attend one of four amazing workshops to help both members and club officers. These workshops will be followed by a second set of workshops. Then on Saturday evening at dinner you will have the opportunity to hear about Soroptimist successes and upcoming Soroptimist events.

On Sunday morning, breakfast will be on your own, with workshops starting at 9am, and you won’t want to miss our famous Marketplace available for all attendees. After the second set of workshops on Sunday morning, we will end our weekend with our “Super Star DREAMS” themed lunch.

As for attire, we are asking our Districts to wear a certain color for the weekend – so contact your District Super Star Dreamer, a.k.a your District Director, for what color to wear to be part of your District’s Team. For those who have Super Women shirts and gear, wear it! It’s all about working together as a team for our clubs, districts and our region. We hope that you’ll leave with all the tools and resources you need to assist you as an individual, a Soroptimist, and a new club officer before we head back home by 2pm on Sunday.

We’ll be honoring our 1st Time Attendees so please check this box on your registration if it applies so we can plan little gifts accordingly. Early bird registration ends July 24, 2025. Remember the early bird gets into the Early Bird drawing to be held on Sunday, August 17th during our closing Brunch where one lucky winner will receive a FREE registration to next year’s 2026 Conference.

So make plans now to attend. We’ll see you in Reno at the Atlantis Casino Resort & Spa! Make sure to make those room reservations soon as our room block cut off is also July 24, 2025 at 5pm. We look forward to seeing everyone in Reno!
