COSTS: Registration Fee is $33 includes continental breakfast and lunch. Late fee of $15 for all registrations received after October 7, 2019.
WHAT: The theme for the day is “We Yarn the World.” We are excited to have Chris Nelson of Flying Samaritans as our Keynote Speaker. We’ll share what has been going on in clubs since conference such as Club successes and events. Also, updates from Federation and Region Committees on a variety of topics including our Signature Dream programs, the SIA Diamond Campaign, and all the great news from the recent Convention in Kuala Lumpur. The club is asking each attendee to bring yarn for Hooks and Needles’ heartwarming projects.
FOCUS: Hooks and Needles
Hooks and Needles members make “newborn beanies” for infants in hospitals and shelters. They crochet/knit scarves and blankets as well. They were adopted by the Folsom Lake Lions in 2012. They added stuffed animals which are distributed to other facilities and organizations. Hooks and Needles members are Folsom Prison inmates who won two 3rd Place Ribbons at the 2017 State Fair, and the Crochet Guild Award!
